The details for the next Network Albion event have been confirmed.

George isn’t your typical football club owner. The former defender dreamed of playing professional football and started off a bright career at Worthing as a 16-year-old. However, in April 2010 his life changed forever.

Dowell was involved in a car crash, breaking his spine, and leaving him paralysed from the chest down. Although finding it difficult at first, George was determined to get back involved with football and decided to start a new club ‘Worthing Borough’.

However, George read about money troubles at boyhood club Worthing, and made the decision to buy the club in 2015 using the compensation from his accident to help the financially troubled side continue.

George has since poured nearly £600,000 into the club, rebuilding the clubhouse and tearing up the pitching to lay a 3G synthetic one. George hopes his investment and dedication will benefit the whole community.

Over 130 businesses are due to attend the Amex to network over an exceptional breakfast, get an exclusive update from members and Albion personnel, and hear a 20-minute guest talk from George.

Hosted by Albion’s Business Club Partner, Network My Club, the business networking event takes place on Thursday 5th March, 8:00am-10.30am, and you can secure one of the last few spaces here.
