The Belgian midfielder recognises how crucial home form will be between now and the end of the season as Albion try to climb the Premier League table.

Watford’s visit is the first of seven games at the Amex between now and 9th May with Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal among Albion’s opponents on home turf in the run-in.

Trossard, whose three goals this season have all been scored at the Amex, said, “Home form is so important. We know every game in this league is tough but with our home crowd behind us we will be doing everything in our power to win - they can make a big difference for us.”

The 25-year-old, who joined from Belgian club Genk last summer, says last Saturday’s comeback against West Ham gave morale in the squad a big lift.

“That was a big result for us,” added Trossard. “From 2-0 down at half-time it was a good reaction and at 3-3 we could even have won the game. We should take massive confidence from it.”

Trossard also says belief in the squad in the style Graham Potter has implemented since his arrival last summer remains strong.

“There has been a big change and the manager is doing his thing. Remember, you can’t build something in six months, it can take years but confidence is growing.

“We have played a lot of good games, especially at the start of the season, and maybe not got the points to show for it. Saturday is a massive game and we’ll do everything we can to get a result.”
