Viktor Gyokeres celebrates scoring at the weekend.

Leo Ostigard and Viktor Gyokeres both featured in FC St Pauli’s 3-1 home win over Wehen Wiesbaden in Bundesliga 2, with Gyokeres scoring twice.

They were the Swedish’s forward’s third and fourth goals of the campaign. St Pauli host Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday in their final game before the Christmas break.

Percy Tau was also on the scoresheet for Club Brugge on Sunday, netting the side’s first in their 3-0 home win over Mechelen in the Belgian League. It’s a result which keeps Tau’s men top of the table with Brugge due to face Anderlecht in the quarter-finals of the cup on Thursday.

Jurgen Locadia also found the back of the net for Hoffenheim on Friday night, but it wasn’t enough to help his Bundesliga side overcome Augsburg, with the visitors running out 4-2 winners. Hoffenheim face Union Berlin tonight.

George Cox was part of the Fortuna Sittard side that beat RKC Waalwijk 3-2 on home soil in the Dutch League - their fifth win of the season. This Saturday they face Willem II, the team which beat Anders Dreyer's  Heerenveen 2-1 at the weekend.

Back in England, Jayson Molumby played the full 90 minutes of Millwall’s 1-0 win over Matt Clarke’s Derby County at Pride Park in the Championship. The impressive result made it seven league matches unbeaten for Gary Rowett’s Lions, who are up to eighth and host Barnsley at The Den on Saturday afternoon.

In the same division, Christian Walton kept a clean sheet as Blackburn Rovers won 2-0 at fellow play-off contenders Bristol City. A goal from former Albion man Bradley Johnson, as well as Adam Armstrong’s second-half effort, helped move Tony Mowbray’s side up to ninth.

Ben White and Leeds United played out a dramatic 3-3 draw with Cardiff City, who came from 3-0 down at Elland Road to grab a point. Leeds are second behind West Bromwich Albion ahead of the Christmas schedule.

Max Sanders and AFC Wimbledon picked up an impressive 2-1 home win over Doncaster Rovers at Kingsmeadow, a result that moved the Dons up to 19th in League One.

Elsewhere, Robert Sanchez and Rochdale advanced in the Emirates FA Cup on Monday night following a 2-1 win away at non-league Boston United. Sanchez played at Old Trafford earlier this season in the Carabao Cup and he can now look forward to testing himself against more Premier League opposition when Newcastle United visit Spotland in the third round.

James Tilley and Yeovil Town were 3-1 winners over Welling United in the FA Trophy at Huish Park on Saturday. They will be at home to Tonbridge Angels or Hampton & Richmond in the second round on January 11.
