Four different sides — the under-23s, under-21s, under-18s and Albion’s women’s team — have four home matches, three at Crawley and one at the Amex, and each are enjoying varying degrees of success this season.

Simon Rusk’s under-23s kick-off against West Ham United in the Premier League International Cup at Crawley Town tonight, before Rusk will take an under-21 side against Newport County in the Leasing.com Trophy at the Amex on Tuesday night.

Morling said, “It would be fantastic to see a good turnout for both these matches, for what we hope will prove to be two exciting cup matches. We had some great matches in the competition, and with Valencia and Wolfsburg still to come, we are hoping for similar this season.

“The Newport game is a great reward for the way the boys navigated their way through the group stages, going to Wimbledon and Southend and winning, and drawing at Orient. It would be great for the boys to have that extra bit of support and they are relishing the chance of playing at the Amex.”

Meanwhile Powell is looking forward to the Barclays Women’s Super League game against Reading under the lights this Friday night, also at Crawley.

She said, “We had a tough afternoon at Manchester United last Sunday, but prior to that, we had an excellent run of results against Arsenal, London Bees and Birmingham City.

“We want to get back to the level of performance we had against Birmingham, and I hope that some of those supporters who turned out at the Amex will join us at Crawley for the game under the lights on Friday.”

Albion’s first-team face games at Liverpool and Arsenal, before Morling will be back at Crawley with the under-18s for their FA Youth Cup third-round tie with Leicester City.

“The FA Youth Cup is a special competition. It’s been the stage in which so many of the country’s top players have first caught the eye, and our boys are aware of that exposure.

“It’s a tough draw against Leicester, but it’s a great opportunity for the under-18s to go out and show what they are capable of, having enjoyed an excellent season in the league.”

Mark Beard’s side are still unbeaten this season, and sit third place in the U18 Premier League South, three points behind leaders Fulham, with a game in hand over the Londoners.
