The Belgian midfielder became the club’s second arrival of the summer when he joined from KRC Genk last month, and he spoke about what he hopes to be able to contribute to his new team.
He said, “I feel I can help the team with goals, of course when it’s your first season somewhere everything is a little bit new, but I got a lot last term and I’ll be hoping to score some again.
“I also enjoy helping the team to score with assists, and they can help me too, so I think it will go well.
“I was one of the players at Genk on set-piece duty, they’re also something I enjoy but we will see how that goes here and what the coach decides for my role.
“If he wants me to then I will, but the most important thing for me is working for the side.”
Trossard captained his boyhood club to the Belgian league title last term, as well as helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the process.
He looked ahead to his aims and objectives with the Seagulls in his new surroundings, having had a successful year last season.
“I’m ambitious and of course I want to show my best qualities here in the Premier League now,” he continued.
“I want to help this club become established in this division first and foremost and that’s my initial ambition, what happens with me afterwards, if I do well, we will see.
“At the moment my focus is to help Brighton achieve things in the Premier League.”
