Those With Purchase History Set To Be Eligible For Semi-final Tickets

By Paul Camillin • 01 April 2019

Subject to availability, Brighton & Hove Albion fans with a purchase history are set to have the opportunity to buy FA Cup semi-final tickets from tomorrow morning.

The club has fully sold out its original ticket allocation of 33,466 seats, but with an additional allocation of tickets being issued to the club last week, around 1,500 tickets remain unsold.

Subject to availability, these will be available to supporters with a purchase history from 11am on Tuesday 2nd April.

The club can also confirm that, contrary to some social media reports, we will not be receiving a further ticket allocation, nor was there ever a prospect that we could or would receive more tickets for the semi-final from Manchester City’s allocation.

In a final call to season-ticket holders, 1901 Club members, 2018/19 and 2019/20 members who have not yet bought their ticket or used their guest allocation, must do so today if they want to secure their seats, as we fully expect to be sold out of all remaining tickets very soon.

Chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber commented, “Having made a seasonal or multi-seasonal financial commitment to the club, our priority has been to ensure that our combined total of over 40,000 season ticket holders, 1901 members, and club members had every possible opportunity to purchase tickets for our match at Wembley.

“With all season-ticket holders, 1901 Club members and club members now having had at least seven full days and in some cases 12 days to buy their tickets for Wembley; March pay day now passed, and our initial ticket allocation fully sold out, we are entirely satisfied that by the close of play today all those fans have now had plenty of time and opportunity to purchase the tickets they wanted.

“The extra ticket allocation from The FA has now provided us with the opportunity to sell semi-final tickets to fans with a purchase history on the basis of one ticket per fan number. With more than 40,000 fans with a higher ticket priority we couldn’t initially guarantee or advertise this opportunity.

“We now expect to complete our ticket sales process for our semi-final at Wembley very quickly. It’s been a very smooth and very well run operation. Our supporter services team has done an outstanding job in ensuring this has been done in a very fair and efficient way.”

Finally, fans wishing to join Albion’s players, coaches, directors, staff, sponsors and guests at Boxpark’s Albion HQ after the match are reminded that there is limited availability in both post match general admission and hospitality areas. Final places are expected to be sold out very soon.
