NEW. EXCITING. PASSION.

These are only the first few whispers of what awaits inside the 1901 Pub, a reimagined 1901 Club lounge crafted for those who crave more than the ordinary. This isn’t just a place to grab a drink, it’s where the Albion spirit comes alive. The 1901 Pub isn’t just another lounge, it could be the start of your next great story.

Ready To Take A Look Behind The Curtain?

With construction still underway, we’re thrilled to share these CGI visuals that bring the 1901 Pub to life. From the first glance, it’s clear this space stands apart from anything we’ve created before, while still holding onto the unmistakable premium character of the 1901 Club.

This isn’t just somewhere to grab a drink. It’s where Albion spirit takes centre stage. With buzzing crowds, fresh food and drink options, and state‑of‑the‑art screens capturing every moment, the energy hits you the second you walk through the door. Surrounded by fellow fans in their home shirts and a resident DJ subtly building the atmosphere, kick-off will feel better than ever.

The lounge is an open‑plan, spacious setting styled with the charm of a classic Albion‑inspired pub.

Warm wood textures, deep heritage colours, and brass accents give it a distinctive pub feel, while the generous layout and soft lighting create a relaxed, social atmosphere.

A Brand New View

The 1901 Pub seats introduce a fresh and unforgettable way to experience the pitch, positioned on a brand‑new second tier at the heart of the electric North Stand. Before the action begins, step into the exclusive lounge, a space that brings the warmth and character of a classic pub into the stadium. After soaking in the atmosphere, it’s only a few steps to your seats, where the roar of the crowd and the thrill of the match await.

Introducing five new seating blocks, the 1901 Pub is perfectly positioned in the North Stand, giving you a premium vantage point that completely elevates how you see the game.

From this angle, the pitch opens up beautifully — every run, every switch of play, every moment of build‑up feels sharper and more connected.

To make room for these new blocks and to preserve the clarity of this enhanced view, the big screen has been relocated, ensuring nothing interrupts your sightline. The result is a cleaner, more immersive perspective that puts you right in the heart of the action.

Just a few steps from the lounge to your seats, you can move effortlessly between the comfort of the pub‑style space and the unmistakable North Stand atmosphere. It’s the stand known for its energy, its noise, and its passion, and now you can enjoy all of that with a premium, elevated view that makes every match feel bigger.

These seats don’t just offer a place to watch the game. They offer a new way to experience it.

The Journey So Far

As part of phase three of the stadium’s development, this brand new 1901 pub is starting to take shape in the north stand. This addition will help increase the Amex’s capacity to 32,500 and is scheduled to open for the 2026/27 season.

As part of this phase of work, the north stand control box has been moved to the north east corner of the stadium, and the big screen at the north end has also been repositioned to accommodate the new layout.

Timeline

Phase 1 — Clearing the Stage and Setting the Scene

Form new structure in North East corner (new control room);

- A brand‑new control room begins to rise in the North East corner, setting the foundation for everything that follows.

- The existing control room is carefully relocated, making way for the transformation ahead.

- The big screen is moved to its new home, opening up the space for major works.

Clear the space;

- Storerooms, cupboards, and tucked‑away corners are emptied, revealing the true footprint of the area.

- Temporary club offices are designed and built, creating a short‑term base of operations.

- Staff shift into their temporary workspace, keeping the club running smoothly while construction ramps up.

Open up the area;

- Internal walls, offices, and meeting rooms are stripped away, exposing the raw structure beneath.

- Floors, ceilings, and selected windows are removed to prepare for the next stage of the build.

- A scaffold platform is constructed outside the north stand, becoming the gateway for materials to flow in and out.

Phase 2 — Strengthening the Bones and Raising the Steel

Steel beams in place to reinforce the stands;

- With new weight soon to be added above, the north stand’s steel and foundations are upgraded to carry the load.

- Additional structural support rises from the North concourse up to Level 2, reinforcing the stand from the inside out.

Steel lifted in by crane to support seating block;

- Over the summer, cranes swing into action, lifting the steelwork that will form the new upper tier.

- Specialist steel terracing is installed — a precision system designed to fit seamlessly into challenging spaces.

Phase 3 — Expanding Level 2

- Flooring is infilled at Level 2, expanding the footprint and unlocking space for a new mezzanine lounge, toilets, bar, and kitchen.

- The stand begins to take on its new shape, with the future hospitality areas starting to emerge.

Phase 4 — Bringing the Vision to Life

- Internal areas are fitted out: the bar takes shape, the food servery and kitchen are installed, and new toilets are completed.

- Club offices return to Level 1, and the North reception is reinstated, restoring the building’s daily heartbeat.

- Built‑in furniture, TV screens, and a new sound system are installed, adding the finishing touches to the interior.

- Terrace seating is fitted, transforming the upper tier into a place ready for fans.

- Lighting, ventilation, and essential services are connected and tested.

- Final decoration brings colour and character to the space.

- Remaining furniture arrives, completing the transformation.
