Albion's under-19s drew 2-2 with Queens Park Rangers in a friendly on Sunday.
Goals from Rhianna Fowler and Issy Ranger in the first half gave Albion a comfortable lead but the second half proved more difficult and Albion conceded twice in seven minutes.
Assistant coach Tim Tapscott reflected: “Overall it was a pleasing performance against senior opposition. We dominated possession in the first half and played some attractive football. We are disappointed to have let the 2-0 lead slip and standards dropped in the second half.
“There are always lots of positives to take away with minutes in the tank for girls that have not played quite as much this season being the highlight. Playing senior opposition is always a good test, not only physically but tactically as well.
“We have different players popping up with goal contributions so that is great to see. The team have been creating a lot of chances recently so the aim now is to push for more goals and to be more clinical.”
A few players have now headed off on international duty with Taylor Warren and Dami Atinaro representing the Young Lionesses.
“They have been working so hard and to see that paying off is fantastic to see," added Tapscott. "It is a brilliant experience for those players, one that they can be proud of and hopefully there will be many more of these opportunities to come, not only for them but others as well.”
