Only one of our out-on-loan players enjoyed a win over the weekend, as Libby Bance came on for the final ten minutes of Birmingham City Women’s 4-0 thumping of Ipswich Town in WSL2.
It wasn’t quite as an enjoyable day in the women's second tier for Olivia Johnson, who came on in the final minutes of Bristol City Women’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.
Birmingham sit second in the table, one point off leaders Charlton Athletic, while the Robins are fourth.
Andrew Moran suffered his first defeat as an LAFC player as they were beaten 1-0 by Austin FC. The 21-year-old had up to that point played in six successive MLS wins.
Kamari Doyle got 70 minutes under his belt in Reading’s 1-1 draw with Exeter City, while Amario Cozier-Duberry’s Bolton Wanderers were thumped 3-0 by Burton Albion.
Charlie Penman came on for the final moments of Aldershot Town’s 3-2 win over Dorking Wanderers in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round, with the first round proper draw taking place on Monday night. The Shots are ball number 79 with the draw taking place before Worthing's tie against Forest Green Rovers at Woodside Road.
Melina Loeck started in Hammarby Women’s 2-0 defeat at Hacken, while Rangers’ comedown from last weekend’s 12-0 win over St Johnstone was pretty tough, as they were beaten 3-2 by Hibernian. Jess Pegram was brought on with 25 minutes to go.
Matthew Hayden’s Havant & Waterlooville didn’t play over the weekend, but are in action on Tuesday, as they take on Walton & Hersham away.
