Albion are up and running in the WSL this season after coming from behind to claim a fully deserved win over Charlton at the Amex.
Cassandra Korhonen scored Charlton’s first league goal since promotion from WSL2 in the early stages but by the break Albion led through Kiko Seike and Fran Kirby, with both goals created by Olivia Garcia’s brilliant wing play.
Seike swept home her third league goal of the season eight minutes after the break and substitute Marisa Olislagers made it 4-1 direct from a corner in stoppage time.
Gabby George then headed home in the dying seconds to complete an impressive afternoon's work by Arturo Ruiz and his team.

Albion suffered a shock when Charlton opened the scoring in the third minute.
Korhonen had two bites at a left-wing cross; Chi Nnadozie blocked her first effort but she followed up to score from close range.
Albion responded impressively and should have equalised in the 17th minute. Olaug Tvedten’s shot was parried by Sophie Whitehouse and Garcia followed up but headed wide from a couple of yards.
Tvedten wasn’t far away with a shot from outside the box before the lively Garcia created Albion’s deserved equaliser on 25 minutes.

The American drove at the Charlton defence, pulled the ball back from the byline and although Tvedten couldn’t make contact, Seike did with a neat side-foot finish inside the far post.
Albion were in control and went in front in first-half stoppage time with a goal similar to their opener. Manuela Vanegas fed Garcia on the left, she pulled the ball back and Kirby arriving late steered it past Whitehouse.
Seike struck again eight minutes into the second half. She started the move on the right, Kirby dummied and Tvedten got her shot away which was parried to Seike who swept it into the far corner.
Olislagers and Tvedten went close to adding further goals before Seike blazed over in the closing stages looking for her hat-trick.

But Albion embellished their winning margin with two goals in stoppage time.
Olislagers’ inswinging corner found its way through a crowded six-yard box and inside the far corner before another corner from the other side by Kirby was nodded home by George.
