Arturo Ruiz enjoyed his side’s performance after Albion got their first WSL win of the season in style with a 5-1 win over Charlton Athletic at the Amex.
Kiko Seike (2), Fran Kirby, Marisa Olislagers and Gabby George were on target after the visitors took a third-minute lead.
“I enjoyed it a lot,” said the head coach. “The result was really good because we finished our first period together, as tomorrow the international break starts. These three points are absolutely going to give us a lot of confidence.
“I am never too high, never too low, because we need to keep balance. The performance was pretty similar to a few games in which we were really close to the three points, but today we got them."

Ruiz was pleased with how effectively Albion responded after going behind so early.
“It started in the worst possible way. But I think the reaction is one of the things we need to put more value on because it wasn't easy. Congratulations to all my players on that, because coming back and then making it 2-1 in pretty much the last minute of the first half was really important for us.”
Both first-half goals were created by Olivia Garcia, who had a great game on the left wing.
“Olivia has started the season very well,” added Ruiz. “You will see her from the bench some games, and in the starting XI other games, but she is really important for us. She will keep improving because her best attribute is her mentality to improve and keep going. I'm really happy that she's going to be with us for a long time. She has started the season in the best possible way.”
