It was certainly a weekend of firsts. Malick Yalcouye scored a terrific individual goal to round off Swansea City's 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, and Tommy Watson made his Millwall debut in a 2-0 win over Wrexham. While the Swans' appear to be out of the play-off picture at present, the Lions' victory puts them on the periphery for a push for automatic promotion.
Eiran Cashin grabbed his first Blackburn goal in midweek, netting the winner in a 1-0 victory against Wednesday, but weren't able to follow that up on Saturday as Rovers lost 2-0 to Norwich City.
Despite grabbing an assist, it was a disappointing weekend for Kamari Doyle as Reading lost 3-2 to AFC Wimbledon and it wasn't much better for Caylan Vickers on his Wigan Athletic debut, as he came on for the final 20 minutes of a 6-1 loss to Peterborough United.
There was some positive news at the foot of League Two though, as Harrogate beat Cambridge United 2-1 for the Sulphurites first league win since September. Jacob Slater will be aiming to play his part in getting the Yorkshire side out of the bottom two.
Finally, Brajan Gruda got 80 minutes under his belt for RB Leipzig as they moved up to fourth in the Bundesliga, claiming a 2-1 win over Koln.
Diego Coppola (Paris FC) and Olivia Johnson (Nottingham Forest Women) were unused substitutes for their teams.
