Fabian Hurzeler admitted ‘it’s not an easy moment’ and says he accepts the responsibility for Albion’s poor recent run.
Albion swapped places with Crystal Palace and are now 14th after losing 1-0 to them at the Amex.
The head coach said, “It isn’t an easy moment but that’s football and we will face it.
“I wasn’t happy with our reaction after we conceded the goal. Normally we react better so that was not good enough. Before the goal the game could have gone in our direction but then a small mistake made the difference.
“I have to take responsibility for the results as coach. I always give my heart and soul for this club and I will keep trying to find solutions, together with my staff and players.
“If you know how much effort you give to the club and the team it’s not an easy situation to take but I will absorb the criticism.
“We have a loss of confidence and the way to get that back is working harder and sticking closer together and we have the opportunity to do that against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
“There are only two options: to give up or work harder and push harder and the second one is always the option I choose
“The fans supported the team in a great way today. It is easier to play if there is positive energy in the stands and it’s our responsibility to create this.”
