Albion win possession in midfield and City are caught on the backfoot. Mitoma runs at the visiting defence before rolling it to Gruda on the right, but his first time shot is blocked!

That's another relatively comfortable one for Trafford as Gruda gets a low shot away from 20 yards aiming for the bottom right, but the City man dives down on the ball.

Georginio strikes the ball on the half volley from the left of the box, but it's straight down the throat of Trafford. A decent effort, but it was never going to beat the former Burnley keeper.

Inches wide from Minteh! Gruda races to get the ball on the right and does so. He finds Minteh who beats two as he darts into the box and then curls it inches wide of the post!

Ait-Nouri drags down Georginio as he races onto Verbruggen's long ball downfield. This is a free-kick in a half decent area. Out on the right, lots of Albion players in the City box.

Penalty to Albion! Dunk volleys the ball at goal from Ayari's cross and Nunes throws his arm in the way!

Khusanov flies in on Minteh and doesn't get the ball. Free-kick to Albion on the right flank. Yellow card for Khusanov.

Minteh takes a great first touch from Mitoma's pass and then gets a strike away from the edge of the box which Trafford tips over the bar at full stretch!

Carlos Baleba, Jack Hinshelwood, Danny Welbeck and Diego Gomez are replaced by Georginio, Brajan Gruda, James Milner and Yasin Ayari.

De Cuyper is brought down just in front of the City corner flag on the left for an Albion free-kick. The Belgian takes the set-piece, zipping it into the box, it hits Veltman in the chest and goes behind for a goal-kick.

Marmoush intercepts Verbruggen's pass on the edge of the box. Albion recover to force the ball out of the box and Rodri looks to smash it in from 20 yards, but it's well over.

Haaland pokes the ball past Verbruggen, after Marmoush somehow bundles the ball through.

van Hecke gets a half clearing header on a Reijnders' corner, it falls at the back of the Albion box for Marmoush to volley, but he skies it.

That's another chance wasted by Haaland. The centre forward drags it wide from the edge of the area. He then gets a header on target from Ait-Nouri's cross, but a combination of Verbruggen and Dunk keep it from crossing the line!

That requires a great save from James Trafford to keep City level. Welbeck flicks the ball through the City backline and Mitoma races onto it. He's got Khusanov for company but gets a yard on him and looks for the bottom left corner from 20 yards, Trafford dives down and gets a touch on it to put it behind for a corner!

Jan Paul van Hecke goes flying into a challenge, he actually pulls out, but it's too late and he brings down Marmoush. Yellow card for the Dutchman.

Albion have men over as Kaoru Mitoma gets down the left. The Japan international hits it with the outside of his right boot looking for the runners in the middle, but he gets too much on it and it's behind for a goal-kick. Just before that, Jack Hinshelwood put in perfectly good sliding tackle on Reijnders, but somehow the referee saw it as a free-kick. One of those where the whole stadium is shocked at the decision.

Haaland races in on goal but his effort from just inside the box is tame and easy for Verbruggen to gather. There's a bit of afters between Haaland and van Hecke. Nothing much to it though, just a bit of shoulder to shoulder and the referee has a word. Play on.

Reijnders plays the ball and afterwards his boot lands on the ankle of Diego Gomez. It looks a really painful one for the Paraguayan. Fabian Hurzeler is furious that it's not even a foul. He's having a discussion with the fourth official, but the on-field decision is stuck to.

Three changes from your last Premier League game. All three players that come in impressed in midweek. How much did they impress you and how big were the decisions you had to make today? "Every game so far we have had to make decisions because at the moment we have a big squad. We have to make tough decisions. But in the end, we always try to make the best decision for the club and to make the decisions that help us win the games. So the players who are starting today, of course, they made a good impression and that's why they deserve to play." Stefanos Tzimas isn't involved today. Is this a question of you just protecting him to make sure that he's fully fit when he comes back? "It's very important to protect the health of the player. He came back after a serious injury and we really have to take care of him. Of course, I would love to have him in the squad, but in the end it's also our responsibility to give him the time he needs. He has only played 30 minutes for us, so he's still not there, but we want him to be. We are very excited that he had a good start and I'm sure that in the next games he will be available for us." We're only very early in the season, just the two games in the Premier League. How do you assess your start and where do you assess that you can do better? "I think the main thing in football, we have to improve our results. I think the performance is there. They're good. We are on a good level. We are very competitive. But now it's about getting results, keeping a clean sheet, scoring the goals in the right moment, continuing to create chances."
