Our women's under-19s are back at home this Wednesday, playing Durham at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in the PGA League.
Albion will be looking to return to winning ways after defeat in the quarter-finals of the FA Women’s National League Plate on the weekend.
Head coach Dani Bowman said, “The FA Women’s National League Plate was a really tough competition. Although we are disappointed to be out of the cup, I am proud that the team reached the quarter-finals.
“It has been a really good challenge for the group. The competition is something we will look at again next year and hopefully progress further.
“I’m hoping to see a good response tomorrow against Durham and, with the group of players we have, I think that will be the case. All you can do is bounce back and then look ahead to the next game, which is in the PGA League.
“Durham is another challenging opponent. We know they are going to be physically strong. The team have to be better with the ball than we were against Gwalia United.
“It’s a third tough game in a row, they play in a similar way to the other teams we have faced recently. The girls have to find solutions to problems a little quicker than we did in previous games, but there’s no doubt the team’s work rate, attitude and effort will be at the same level.”
