Our WU19s lost 6-1 at Manchester United in Division One of the PGA League.
United had scored five times by half-time but Albion kept battling until the end. Libby Hester scored in the 88th minute but not long after the Red Devils got their sixth.
Head coach Dani Bowman said, “We can take a lot of positives from our second-half display; the first half was not good enough from us but I was happy with the response.
“The team knew it was going to be a challenge. Manchester United have very good players, but you can’t start how we did and expect to get much from the game.
“We lost a lot of our players this week for a number of different reasons, so we knew that was going to be tough. I was really pleased with Libby’s goal which was a well worked team goal. We will learn from it and look to put it right next week with Chelsea."
