Albion's WU19s sealed a 2-1 victory over Bristol City to reach the quarter-finals the PGA League Cup.
Taylor Warren and Patience Fergus were on the scoresheet, and head coach Dani Bowman praised her squad’s performance as they progressed to the last eight.
Bowman said, “We controlled the game well for the most part - we just need to look at being more clinical in front of goal.
“I was really happy with the goals. The first (Taylor Warren’s) came at a good point in the match just before half-time, and the second from Patience was another well-worked team goal.
“For this age group, experience in any game - whether it be home or away in league or cup - is crucial. Ultimately, we are trying to produce players for our first team, so knockout games add greater pressure, which will help their development.”

Taylor Warren has recently been involved with Dario Vidosic’s first team and made her senior debut for Albion as a substitute against Charlton Athletic in the Subway League Cup last week.
Bowman added, “Taylor’s performances have been very consistent this season which is the main reason why she has been involved with the first team. She still has areas to develop like all the players, but with the support of staff she can continue to grow and develop.”
Bowman’s squad finished third in the first phase of the PGA League and have now progressed into Division One for the second phase.
She added, “I’m really pleased with the season so far. This group of players are continuing to push each other every day. We know the challenge that lies ahead for us which will only get harder, but we are excited about it.”
