Albion were well represented during the recent international break, with 11 players across the first team and youth squads featuring for their countries.
World Cup Qualifiers
Jelena Cankovic featured for the full 90 minutes in both of Serbia’s World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Sweden. Serbia fell to a 3-1 defeat to Denmark before earning a hard‑fought 0-0 draw with Sweden, leaving them bottom of Group A.
Rachel McLauchlan also enjoyed a strong international window, playing the full match as Scotland opened with a commanding 5-0 victory over Luxembourg. The Albion defender then started again in their second meeting with Luxembourg, playing 77 minutes in a dominant 7-0 win.
Caitlin Hayes was named in the starting XI for both of Ireland’s fixtures, featuring in narrow 2-1 defeats to France and the Netherlands. Despite two competitive performances, Ireland now sit bottom of Group B.
Rosa Kafaji came off the bench for Sweden, coming on in the 76th minute of their goalless draw with Serbia. Sweden currently occupy second place in Group A.
Marisa Olislagers completed 90 minutes for the Netherlands in their 2-1 win over Ireland, helping her side strengthen their position as they sit second in Group B.
She Believes Cup
Manuela Vanegas featured prominently for Colombia at the SheBelieves Cup, starting in their opening defeat to Canada and their narrow 1–0 loss to the USA, where she went close with a first‑half volley and contributed strongly on the left side of defence.
Under-23s
Maisie Symonds started in England under-23s 1-0 win over France and was again involved as the Young Lionesses faced the Netherlands in Shrewsbury during the latest international window.
