Our WU19s booked their place in the next round of the Sussex Challenge Cup with an 11-0 win over Bexhill United on Sunday.
The Albion welcomed the Tier 6 side to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre and produced a confident and controlled with Elliana Martin (4), Daisy-Mae Ball (4), Ruby Gaunt (2) and Phoebe Potter all on the scoresheet.
Head coach Dani Bowman was pleased with the performance. She said, "It gave us an opportunity to rotate and allowed other players good game time which was really important after the run of matches we’ve had recently.
“It can be tough to maintain your standards when you go a few goals up, but the girls maintained their levels throughout the whole game.
“The biggest difference this season is where our goals are coming from and yesterday was another example of that with the variety of different players on the scoresheet.
“We’ve been lucky to be involved with the Women’s National League, so our maturity and awareness of senior football is at a higher level and that showed again yesterday.
“We would love to come away with silverware this season. We still have a lot of work to do, but this group has shown all season they have a drive to want to win.”
Attention now turns to Wednesday when Albion face Southampton in the quarter-final of the PGA League Cup.
