Our WU19s will be looking to build on their 3-1 win over Durham in the PGA League as they start their Sussex Challenge Cup campaign on Sunday at home to Bexhill United in the third round.
Reflecting on the win over Durham, head coach Dani Bowman said, “The team knows that the first half was not good enough after we conceded a poor goal early on. We will need to be better on Sunday.
“There was a huge improvement in the second half, scoring three goals to secure the win. We dominated after the early setback but the team will need to work on how they start games better.
“The result showcased the depth of the squad, with players coming off the bench and changing the game."
Albion lost to Lewes on penalties in the Sussex Challenge Cup final last season and will be looking to go one better.
"It is a really important cup to us, and the aim is to get to the final," added Bowman. "The team are aware of the challenges in this competition against senior opposition but we want to try and win a trophy. It would be nice to have silverware at the end of the season."
