Team news
Fabian Hurzeler said at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Solly March could be involved in the matchday squad, having had another good week of training. March has been out since last April with a knee injury. Yasin Ayari (shoulder) is still sidelined but Hurzeler hopes he will return to training next week.

Facts and stats
Brentford won this fixture 4-2 last season, last winning consecutive home league games against Brighton between 1998 and 2007 (4).
Albion are looking to complete the Premier League double over Brentford for the first time since the 2021-22 campaign.
Brentford have picked up 20 points in their last 10 Premier League matches (W6 D2 L2), as many as they won in their first 16 games this season (W6 D2 L8).
No side has won fewer Premier League matches since December than Albion (W1 D6 L6), with their only win in this time coming against Burnley. The Seagulls could go seven without a win for the first time since a run of eight between November and January last season.
In the last two seasons, Brentford have scored 10 goals from throw-in situations – no other side has scored more than four. They’re the first side to score 10+ throw-in goals in the space of two seasons since Stoke City in 2008-09 (9) and 2009-10 (5).
Brighton are averaging 13 shots per game, 4 shots on target per game and 27 touches in the opposition box per game in the Premier League this season, all their lowest averages since 2021-22 (13 shots, 4 shots on target, 25 touches in opposition box).
Brighton’s last two Premier League games have ended in 1-0 defeats, the second time this season they’ve failed to score in consecutive games. They last went three without a goal in January 2024.
Brentford boss Keith Andrews has won 1.54 points per game in the Premier League (W12 D4 L10) – among managers from the Republic of Ireland, only former Leeds and Aston Villa boss David O’Leary has a higher ratio (1.56).
James Milner could make a record 654th Premier League appearance in this game and break Gareth Barry’s record. It could also see him play in the same game as Brentford’s Nathan Collins; since 2002-03, 879 players other than Milner have played 100+ Premier League games and 878 have played in the same game as Milner has – the only one who hasn’t is Collins in his 139 games.
Brentford’s Igor Thiago has applied more pressures both overall (1,986) and in the opposition half (1,392) than any other player in the Premier League this season.
