Interim head coach Chris Roberts admitted Albion’s 2-1 defeat to London City Lionesses was tough to take.
Kiko Seike scored her seventh goal of the season to give Albion the lead but the visitors were in front by half-time from their only two shots on target and, despite hitting the post twice, Albion couldn’t find an equaliser.
Roberts said, “I thought performance-wise we were so dominant and on another day we would score four or five goals and leave with three points. That’s what hurts.
“We had to deal a bit better with their counter-attack moments and both their goals were massively preventable, but we created a lot chances and played free-flowing football.

“Football can be cruel. I am proud of the group but obviously we are disappointed with the result. We left a lot out there in terms of chances created. The positive is we had good numbers in and around the box when we created those chances.
“The performance was there and if you get that right more often than not you will get results, but we need to be more ruthless in finishing our chances.”
There an emotional minute’s applause before kick-off for Rado Vidosic and Roberts added his own tribute. “The club – and the people here – showed their respects to a lovely man and it was a nice moment to remember a really special person,” he added.
