Men’s under-18s Bjorn Hamberg hailed his team’s 4-1 win over Aston Villa in Premier League South as the “best performance of the season”.
The victory moves Albion up into fifth and was their fourth win in the last five league games.
Albion grabbed their first goal after 32 minutes when a free-kick into the Villa box was nodded down by Sebastian Ademola and fired in by Isaiah Alakiu. Ademola got his name on the scoresheet too when he capitalised on a goalmouth scramble to tuck home our second in the third minute of first-half stoppage time.
Adam Brett embarked on a one-man mission four minutes after the restart to ensure the three points were coming back to Sussex. Starting a run from inside his own half, the forward shrugged off two Villa players before his low left-wing cross picked out Theo Outen for a tap in.

Henry Kasvosve rifled in the best goal of the game when he was found by Brett 15 yards from goal, with the Wales youth international rifling into the top corner just after the hour.
Villa grabbed a consolation goal in the 74th minute – the only blemish on an otherwise perfect afternoon for Albion.
Hamberg said, “We are very pleased with how we approached the game and the way we got the win. This was our best performance of the season.
“We keep pushing and developing as a team which is really pleasing to see. Now we need to back up the performance against Reading on Saturday.”
