Albion will be delighted after a dominant performance secured their second WSL win of the season as they swept aside West Ham United 3-0 at a rain-lashed Amex.

A wonder strike from 30 yards by captain Maisie Symonds gave Albion the lead after 29 minutes. Two second-half goals from Fran Kirby and Kiko Seike helped secure a comfortable victory they fully deserved.

Despite the wet and windy conditions, Arturo Ruiz's side were dominant throughout and secured their first clean sheet in the league as well.

Albion’s first chance came in the 11th minute when Symonds drove the attack from the centre of midfield, playing in Olivia Garcia on the left but her shot was saved comfortably by Constance Picaud.

Emilie Joramo came close when she found herself with the ball on the edge of the box following some great work from Kirby, but her effort was deflected wide.

In the 21st minute, Marisa Olislagers’ delicate chip found Kirby who had made a darting run into the penalty area, but the forward’s outstretched leg couldn’t quite reach the Dutch midfielder’s cross.

An absolute stunner from the captain gave Albion a deserved lead.

A headed clearance fell to Symonds who, taking her cue from the fans urging her to shoot, struck a half-volley from 30 yards that couldn’t have been hit any sweeter and the ball flew into the top right-hand corner.

In the second half Albion continued to control the game and a great cross from Olislagers in the 63rd minute found Kirby at the far post and she tapped it home to double Albion's lead.

Moments later, Seike made it 3-0 with her third goal in her last three WSL matches against the Hammers. Joramo provided the assist and the Japan winger dinked it over the keeper with aplomb.

Albion had the ball in the back of the net again in the 80th minute, but substitute Emily Murphy's effort was ruled out for offside.
