Albion suffered a narrow defeat to Spurs in their second match in the Subway Players Cup at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday.
Arturo Ruiz’s team had started the competition with a thumping 4-0 win over Charlton a week ago but Tottenham were a much tougher proposition and Olivia Holdt scored the decisive goal eight minutes before the break.
It was one of those nights in front of goal for Albion, who created some good chances without finding the finishing touch.

Ruiz made five changes to the side beaten by London City Lionesses on Saturday and Albion made a good start and created two good opportunities in as many minutes.
On 12 minutes Marit Auee’s pass out of defence set Kiko Seike speeding down the right. Her cross was perfectly weighted for the unmarked Emily Murphy, but she directed the ball wide from three yards out.
Seike had an effort from a tight angle saved by Ella Morris in Albion’s next attack but Spurs then had a good spell.
Victoria Pelova had already missed a great chance when she rounded Chi Nnadozie but delayed her shot and was crowded out.
But the visitors went in front when Pelova’s pass was perfectly weighted for Holdt to run onto in the inside left channel and curl a right-foot shot inside the far post.

Maisie Symonds got into a great position but her lob flew over the bar - a miss that summed up a frustrating night in front of goal for Albion.
Nnadozie pushed away Shekiera Martinez’s curling effort at the start of the second half before her opposite number Morris clung onto Emilie Joramo’s volley as Albion stepped up their efforts to equalise.
Kirsty Hansen’s shot on the turn hit the bar for Spurs but Albion dominated the closing stages as they pressed for an equaliser.
Olivia Garcia ran half the length of the pitch and cut the ball back, but no one in a blue shirt was there to take advantage. It summed up a frustrating evening in front of goal for Albion.
