Nine players from our men’s under-21s squad will depart the club at the end of June.
We will say farewell to Noel Atom, Joe Belmont, Matthew Hayden, Sebastian Jensen, Harry Mills, Yussif Owusu, Charlie Penman and Jacob Slater, while Zane Albarus will join Gillingham when his contract expires later this month.
Men's under-21s head coach Shannon Ruth said, “I would like to say a big thank you to all the players who are leaving us this summer.
“They played a significant role in what has ended up being a hugely successful year for the team, as we won both the Premier League 2 title and the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens tournament, as well as reaching the final of the Sussex Senior Cup.
“I hope this season in particular has created really nice memories for them and also the success of it provides a springboard for them to go on and secure new opportunities with other clubs. We wish them the best of luck with whatever is next in their career.
“I’d also like to give a special mention to Harry Mills who has been in our academy since he was an under-8, progressing through the ranks and more recently making his Cyprus Under-21 debut. He’s another success story of the academy.”
