Our men's under-21s returned to winning ways in Premier League 2 with an impressive 4-2 win against Fulham at a blustery Motspur Park.
The Seagulls flew into an early two-goal lead through Kofi Shaw and Miah Oriola, and although the hosts managed to get a solid foothold back in the game, late strikes from the impressive Oriola and substitute Valentin Joseph put the icing on the cake for Shannon Ruth's side.
Albion made a dream start, netting the opening goal of the game after just three minutes.
Having dominated the early exchanges, the Seagulls broke forward through Callum Mackley, who released Oriola down the left flank. The livewire winger's byline cross was only partially cleared by the Fulham rearguard, leaving Shaw to drill the ball home.

Albion doubled their lead in fine style just eight minutes later when Oriola, fresh from his appearance on the first-team bench the previous night at FK Jablonec, showed great feet on the left-hand side of the box before firing an unstoppable effort into the top corner of Dino Kaiser's net.
It was proving to be a tale of two wingers as Fulham scored in the 15th minute through MacAulay Zepa, who picked the ball up out wide and cut inside Mackley before firing a low left-footed effort past Seagulls keeper Steven Hall.
Daniel Casey came close to an equaliser when he fired narrowly wide from 18 yards out while a dangerous ball across the Albion six-yard box was also missed by the onrushing Fulham forward line.
Albion ended the half strongly and should have extended their lead when a Tyler Silsby corner fell to Isaiah Alakiu but the full-back miscued his effort from close range. George Munday also went close when he was released by Oriola, but the striker's low effort was deflected out for corner by the onrushing keeper Kaiser.

Albion started the second half strongly and had claims for a penalty waved away when Casey appeared to handle inside the box. Shaw also drove through the heart of the Fulham midfield, only to see his resulting effort sail wide.
Hall, also part of the squad that travelled to Czechia, then pulled off a superb save to deny Casey as the hosts began to push hard for an equaliser.
It came on 71 minutes from the penalty spot after Zepa has been brought down by Crutchett, with the Fulham man dusting himself down before firing past Hall.
Joseph missed a guilt-edged chance to score on 80 minutes when he headed wide from a Silsby cross, but Albion were all smiles just moments later when Oriola beat the onrushing Kaiser to the ball, then lifted it over the keeper before tucking home.

Albion made the game safe three minutes when Silsby again squared to Joseph and the forward made no mistake this time, sliding the ball beyond Kaiser and into the corner of the net.
