Fabian Hurzeler has won his second LMA Performance of the Week award for this season for his team’s 5-0 win over Crystal Palace last Sunday.
Albion stormed into a three-goal lead after ten minutes, thanks to an own goal from Jaydee Canvot followed by a Diego Gomez long-range rocket and a deflected strike from Yasin Ayari.
The thrashing was completed in the second half, as Babis Kostoulas and Jack Hinshelwood added their names to the scoresheet.
Speaking after the game, Hurzeler said, ““The players are incredible. When they face adversity they are always there for each other. They challenge each other, but they also take care of each other.
“I'm really pleased and happy for everyone who was part of this game, for everyone who is part of this club.”
The award is the second in successive months after the 3-0 win over Arsenal also saw Hurzeler and his team recognised.
Rampant Albion benefitted from an own goal before Diego Gomez scored a world-class goal from virtually the halfway line. Yasin Ayari, made it 3-0 inside the opening ten minutes. Babis Kostoulas scored early in the second half, before Jack Hinshelwood rounded off the five-star performance in front of a jubilant North Stand. Club photographers Paul Hazlewood, James Boardman and Simon Roe captured the action on a memorable afternoon at the Amex.
