Henry Kasvosve scored his seventh league goal of the season as our men’s under-18s drew 2-2 with Norwich City.
The hosts found themselves 2-0 up after just eight minutes in the Premier League South encounter thanks to goals from Finn Corke and Rio Mundle.
But Kasvosve rifled in from 12 yards after being picked out by Liam Crutchett to halve the deficit in the 39th minute, before the latter got his name on the scoresheet just before half-time with a well taken free-kick from 22 yards.
Head coach Bjorn Hamberg said, “There’s two ways to look at this game. We are never happy if we don’t win as we also had an opportunity to go second in the table.
"But at the same time, to go 2-0 down away from home after eight minutes is not easy. We fought, ran and had the right mentality to come back.
“In the second half we were more like ourselves with an attacking mindset, good pressure and high intensity all over the pitch.
“So overall we are happy to have fought back for a point, but at the same time with the dominant performance in the second half we would have loved to have got on the bus with another three points. We have to stay humble and push for more.”
