Matt O’Riley enjoyed a third consecutive Ligue 1 win with Marseille as they beat Strasbourg 2-1 on Friday.

The Denmark international has started the last two games – including their 1-0 victory against reigning champions PSG last Monday – as L’OM moved to within three points of joint league leaders PSG and Lyon.

Hammarby moved two points clear at the top of the Allsvenskan Women’s league thanks to a 7-0 victory over Vaxjo, which marked Melina Loeck’s fifth clean sheet of the campaign.

Eiran Cashin was brought on just before half-time in Birmingham City’s 3-0 defeat at Coventry City, while James Beadle was an unused substitute. Carl Rushworth started in goal for the Sky Blues though, keeping his second consecutive league clean sheet as City made it seven unbeaten.

Malick Yalcouye started in Swansea’s 1-1 draw with Millwall, while Jacob Slater enjoyed back-to-back wins at Harrogate Town, as they claimed a 1-0 victory at League Two high flyers Gillingham. It was also a second consecutive clean sheet for the Sulphurites.

Andrew Moran made his first start for LAFC as they cruised to a 3-0 win at St. Louis City, while Jeremy Sarmiento was subbed on late on in Cremonese’s 1-1 draw with Como in Serie A. It was disappointment for Barnsley, though, as they suffered back-to-back league defeats, losing 2-0 to Port Vale over the weekend – Caylan Vickers started for the Tykes.

Amario Cozier-Duberry suffered his first league defeat in nearly two months as Bolton Wanderers lost 2-0 to Northampton Town, while Kamari Doyle started in Reading’s 1-1 draw with Stockport County. Mark O’Mahony was brought on for the final five minutes for the Royals.

Charlie Penman came on for the final minutes of Aldershot Town’s 4-2 defeat to Halifax Town, while Olivia Johnson played the final ten minutes of Bristol City Women’s 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest Women in WSL2.

Jess Pegram played the full 90 minutes of Rangers Women’s 1-0 home defeat to Glasgow City, while Ibrahim Osman came on for the final 16 minutes of Auxerre’s 2-0 defeat to PSG.
