Jan Paul van Hecke has completed a permanent transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, for undisclosed terms.
The defender joined us in 2020 from NAC Breda and departs the Amex having made 131 appearances.

“We’re proud of the role we’ve played in his career up to this point, seeing him establish himself as a top defender in the Premier League and a regular in the Netherlands squad.

Men’s first team head coach Fabian Hurzeler said, “JP has been a pleasure to work with during our two years together and I wish him well in this move to Tottenham.
“He’s been a huge influence on and off the pitch, endearing himself to both fans and his teammates with his commitment. I have no doubt he will continue to be a success.”

The 26-year-old spent two seasons out on loan after signing for Albion, turning out for Heerenveen and Blackburn Rovers.
After a run in the team at the end of the 2022/23 season, the defender didn’t look back as he established himself in the first team.
He made his Netherlands debut in September 2024 and was in Ronald Koeman’s starting 11 in their opening game of the World Cup on Sunday, as they drew 2-2 with Japan.
