We are pleased to confirm the signing of Chema Andres on a five-year deal from VfB Stuttgart, for undisclosed terms and subject to the usual regulatory processes.

The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season in the Bundesliga, having come through the youth ranks at Real Madrid.

Sporting director Mike Cave said, "We’re delighted to welcome Chema to the club. He has an excellent pedigree having come through at Real Madrid; he followed that with a very good season with Stuttgart last season.

"We had been aware of Chema's potential for sometime, and we are delighted to welcome him to the club, and look forward to working with him."

The Spain under-21 international progressed through Real Madrid’s C and B teams before making his La Liga debut in January 2025.

He joined VfB Stuttgart last summer, and made 41 appearances in all competitions in 2025/26 as they qualified for this season’s Champions League.
