Matias Orozco has joined Spanish side Castellon on a season-long loan, subject to the usual regulatory processes. The 18-year-old midfield prospect joined Albion from Colombian top-flight side Deportivo Cali last week. Sporting director Mike Cave said, “When we signed Matias, the initial plan was for a loan of this nature to help him acclimatise to European football.

"This loan with Castellon will provide him that opportunity to play at a very good level, and Gordon Greer and the loans department will track his progress over the season.” Fellow summer signing Rodrigo Rego is already on loan with the Spanish second division side. Matias broke into Cali’s team last season and made 24 appearances in the Colombian Premier League, having moved into their senior squad at the age of 16.
