Beadle signs new contract and returns to Birmingham City on loan

Goalkeeper James Beadle has signed a new four-year contract with the club and is returning to Birmingham City on a season-long loan.
Sporting director Mike Cave said: “We rate James very highly and we’re delighted that he has committed his long-term future to the club.
“He had a successful loan at St Andrew's last season and he is returning to an environment he knows well. We wish him all the best for the season ahead.”

James, 22, joined Albion from Charlton in 2022 and had extensive EFL loan experience from spells with Crewe, Oxford United and Sheffield Wednesday before joining Birmingham last season.
He played 38 times and kept eight clean sheets and has now made 132 senior appearances in his career so far.
