Albion made it back-to-back Premier League clean sheets but had to settle for a point as they played out a goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
After last weekend's 3-0 win over Leeds United, which saw Albion not concede in 90 league minutes for the first time this season, Fabian Hurzeler will be pleased with another shut-out today, but may feel his team deserved not only to keep out our hosts at Selhurst, but to have snatched all three points with the chances they had.
The German was able to name an unchanged starting XI for the first time in the Premier League this season, while Oliver Glasner made three changes from that team who played less than 72 hours earlier in their 3-1 Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar, notably with Marc Guehi missing out through injury.

Jean-Phillipe Mateta retained his place though and smashed over from a tight angle in the fourth minute, before Diego Gomez’s leathered drive was right at Dean Henderson who parried.
Palace’s in-form Ismaila Sarr drew a save of the highest order out of Bart Verbruggen when his edge of the box curler was tipped around the post by the Netherlands international.

That was nearly all the first half action either team was treated to, apart from a glorious opportunity in stoppage time when Diego Gomez won the ball and countered for Albion, but Minteh skewed his strike wide when he looked certain to at least test Henderson.
Albion had been wasteful, but Palace returned the favour ten minutes after the restart when Adam Wharton took the ball off Baleba and played in Sarr. The Senegal international got the ball caught under his feet in a great position and was forced to cross instead of shoot, van Hecke took the ball away from Mateta and Daichi Kamada fired wide from ten yards.

A breakthrough finally looked on the cards when Georginio appeared to be brought down by Palace debutant Jaydee Canvot and referee Tim Robinson pointed to the spot, but after VAR review, the decision was reversed. Georginio was deemed to have dived, and was booked.
Hurzeler made changes to try and find a spark in the final throes before Yeremy Pino's low drive in the last minute of seven added on was kept out by Verbruggen, but a point apiece was a fair outcome.
