Fabian Hurzeler admitted the dramatic finale to Albionâs 1-1 draw against Everton was 'painful'.
Albion seemed to be on course for their second win in 11 Premier League games when Pascal Gross scored his first goal since returning to the club with 16 minutes to go.
But with stoppage time up Everton equalised through substitute Beto as Albion dropped a place to 13th in the table.
âIt was painful end to the game,â admitted the head coach.
âWe started the game well and I thought we controlled the first half. At the start of the second half Everton caused us more problems.
âBut our subs made a good impact and we scored a good goal. It was a good finish by Pascal and Iâm pleased for him and Babis (Kostoulas) did well in the build-up with the dummy.
âTheir goal at the end is something that happens in football.
âItâs tough but there are two options. You can feel self-pity or you can take ownership and responsibility and show a great reaction. That [second option] is our choice and there is another opportunity next week to do that.â
âBut we know we have to manage the key moments in the game better and one bad moment has cost us the game.â
