The men’s under-18s made it three successive wins after coming from 2-1 down to beat Southampton 3-2 in Saturday’s Premier League game.
Bailey Palmer gave Albion a fifth-minute lead but Saints hit back to score twice before second-half goals from Chetam Ezenwata (47) and Chris Cundy (61) won it for Carl Martin’s team.
Martin said: “It was really pleasing to see the players respond to going behind and show the character and determination to win the game. Having taken the lead and then conceded twice from set plays the response in the second half was particularly encouraging.

"There were some really good individual performances, and the players deserve credit for finding a way to win. The game was more transitional than we would have liked, and we need to improve our decision making to give ourselves greater control of matches.
“There is still plenty of development ahead of us, both individually and collectively, but we’re pleased with the results and the progress we’re making. It’s always better to learn and improve while winning matches.”
Albion’s next game is at Norwich City on Saturday.
