It’s Foundation takeover day!

Sunday's WSL fixture against Charlton at the Amex will become our first official community match takeover of the season, with members of the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation at the match to engage with fans and raise vital funds for the charity.

Foundation staff and volunteers will be positioned outside the Terrace from 11am with a range of fun activities for our fans, including an inflatable goal where they can test their penalty skills with our Foundation coaches.

There will also be a raffle to help raise funds for the Foundation. Prizes include both home and away shirts signed by the women's first team. The raffle will be drawn pitch side at half-time by the Foundation CEO Joe Jenkins.

Staff from the Foundation will also be on hand to engage with fans and educate them on our community programmes across the area.

Lucy Cotter, fundraising manager at the Foundation said, “Our community matchdays are really special for the Foundation. They are a great opportunity for us to connect the club’s fans and our supporters together, to celebrate and highlight the incredible work the charity does throughout Sussex.

"Being part of this Women’s Super League fixture is particularly important. The women’s game continues to grow and inspire more girls to get involved in football, and we want the Foundation to be right there alongside that, showcasing the opportunities and support that are available in our programmes across our community.

"We can’t wait to welcome fans to the Amex on Sunday, celebrate the brilliant people involved in our work and show supporters the difference their support helps us make. Make sure to come and say hello!"
