Brighton & Hove Albion are pleased to release the first fly‑through of the forthcoming 1901 Pub, the newest lounge offering at the Amex. It is set to open this August, ahead of the club’s 125th-year anniversary season.

The 1901 Pub has been developed following extensive consultation with supporters and 1901 Club members to ensure the space reflects exactly what match-going fans want from a more relaxed premium matchday experience.

During the design process, that feedback shaped the final concept, resulting in a pub-style atmosphere that blends comfort, efficiency and the spirit of an Albion matchday.

Key features include:

Faster, more efficient bar service through redesigned bar layouts and the introduction of multiple self‑service e-bars to reduce queue times
Relaxed dress code, including the ability to wear home shirts and shorts — an important request from existing members wanting a more authentic fan experience
Background music and live DJ sets to create atmosphere during the build‑up to kick‑off, while keeping the tone subtle and sociable
Comfortable seating with backed stools and chairs, reflecting one of the most surprisingly common feedback points from members
Large TV screens throughout, ensuring live sport and match coverage is visible from every corner of the pub
A revamped half‑time drinks service, with every member able to grab a just-poured beer, wine or soft drink within the tight 15‑minute window.

The Fan Advisory Board has reviewed the full package and endorsed plans, reaffirming our confidence that the new space delivers an exceptional matchday experience.

Opening for our anniversary season, the 1901 Pub will combine the warmth of a traditional pub with a unique lounge offering.
