Albion fans will notice several improvements to help enhance the matchday experience when the Amex opens its doors for the first time this season on Saturday for the friendly against Wolfsburg, kick-off 5pm.
One significant change is the installation of safe standing in the North Stand, following consultation with supporters through the Fan Advisory Board.
Supporters will also see the replacement big screen, which is attached to the roof of the North Stand; and new safety control room in the north-east corner, both of which will come into operation in October. These changes have been made to enable work to begin on additional hospitality space in the North Stand.
The new two-storey club store, which opened last month, will also be open for its first matchday.
Other improvements include:
Accessible toilet on the West Upper concourse which will be completed in time for the Fulham game on 16 August.
New coach park stairway due to come into operation later this month.
All external stairs are in the process of being resurfaced in blue anti-slip resin and having the walls painted with blue and white stripes.
An e-bar in the West Lower concourse which will free up concourse space.
We have increased the number of bins on our external footprint to provide better waste separation from a sustainability perspective.
We have also moved some seating to provide better coverage including at the top of the park and ride steps.
Our facilities team have also been busy making improvements behind the scenes in the players' tunnel and dressing room, media areas, the boardroom, to the match officials’ facilities and to those used by our broadcast partners.
Season-ticket holders are reminded that their digital 2025/26 season ticket(s) will automatically update, so please do not delete your pass.
New digital turnstiles will be in place for Saturday. Find out how to use them by watching our video here.
