Chiamaka Nnadozie has made the five-player shortlist for the Women’s Yachine Trophy – the award that recognises the best goalkeeper in the world.
The Nigeria international joined us from Paris FC earlier in the summer, going onto win the Women’s African Cup of Nations with her country in July.
Women's first team head coach Dario Vidosic said, "It's an incredible achievement to be nominated for arguably the most prestigious award a goalkeeper can win.
"Chiamaka had a terrific year at both club and international level with Paris FC and Nigeria, and I am sure that she will be delighted with this recognition."
The other nominees are:
  • Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC & Germany)
  • Cata Coll (Barcelona & Spain)
  • Hannah Hampton (Chelsea & England)
  • Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal & Netherlands)
