Albion began phase two of the PGA League in style, beating Bristol City 4-2 at the American Express Elite Performance Centre.
The top five teams from phase one in the north division and four in the south are now playing each other in the second half of the season in division one.
Bristol City started the game confidently, scoring early on from a corner 15 minutes into the game. Elliana Martin and Libby Hester pushed for an equaliser but could not break the Robinsâ defence.
Albion struggled to take control but there were moments of brilliance on the wing and after 26 minutes Hester made a superb run on the wing and produced a composed finish to make it 1-1.
In the 39th minute Emilie Gay sprinted through the middle of the pitch, finding space to cross the ball to Elliana Martin in the box who scored from a difficult angle.
Bristol managed to equalise from a corner in the 42nd minute but Albion remained calm and composed, regaining control when the game restarted. Mia Balmer sent a powerful cross into the box, forcing the goalkeeper to make save and the ball fell to May Balmer who made it 3-2.
Albion went into the second half with a narrow lead but confident of seeing the game out. The Robins struggled to get possession and Daisy-Mae Ball was narrowly off target with a shot after some great play on the wing.
But Issy Ranger, who was in the perfect position in the box, secured all three points with Albion's fourth goal.
