We are pleased to confirm the signing of Jaouen Hadjam from Swiss Super League champions Young Boys on a contract until June 2031, subject to the completion of the necessary regulatory processes.
The 23-year old full-back will join the club having established himself as a regular in Switzerland, making 98 domestic and Europa League appearances for Young Boys.Â
Sporting director Mike Cave said, “We believe Jaouen will be a great addition to the group, adding to our already strong options in defence.
“He is a modern left-back known for his pace, attacking output and technical abilities which fits our style of play well. He has proven himself to be a versatile player in Switzerland and we are looking forward to working with him.”
Jaouen made his professional debut with Paris FC in 2020.
After moving to Nantes in 2023 and making his Ligue 1 debut he signed for Young Boys in 2024 where he quickly integrated into the squad and featured in both domestic and European competitions.
Hadjam was also a youth international for France at U17 and U19 level.Â
Eligible to play for Algeria through his parents, Hadjam switched his international allegiance in 2023 and has earned 21 caps for Les Fennecs.
At this summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup, he featured in Algeria’s group stage matches against Jordan and Austria and the round of 32 tie against Switzerland.
