Albion under-18s suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Leicester City on Saturday.
The visitors took the lead through Jack Butterfill shortly before half-time, as Albion struggled to get out of the starting blocks.
Albion improved after the break, but werenât able to overturn the deficit.
Professional development phase coach James Baxter said, âWe canât start as we did and expect to get anything, it took until the beginning of the second half to find the levels we are capable of.
âThere was a good reaction from the boys at half-time once weâd had a chat about what is expected from them and we put in a much better showing.
âWe left ourselves with too much to do though. We created chances, but we didnât test their goalkeeper as much as we would have liked to.
âWe will build from the second half though and the positive is they recognised where they needed to get things right. Even though we werenât at our best it was still a relatively even game.â
