Goals at the start of each half by Peter Gwargis and Warren O’Hora were decisive and Rusk admitted Albion might have won more comfortably in the end.
He said, “It was a good win and for various different reasons, a good performance, and the lads can be pleased with a lot of aspects of how they played.
“The first goal came from a really good move which was well finished by Peter, and it’s always nice to score from a set-piece. We had moments of quality and with a bit more teeth in the final third, we could have scored another goal or two. We were gritty and determined when we had to be.
“We’re disappointed to concede from a set-piece goal, but after the second goal we got into a lot of dangerous positions and I thought we looked a real threat.
“There is always a danger in the closing stages that you sit a little deeper, but we kept our concentration and saw it out for a really good win.”
