Graham Potter is pleased with Albion's defensive resilience in keeping successive clean sheets in the 1-0 win over Leeds and goalless draw against Fulham.
A third successive top-flight shutout for the first time since October 2018 is the aim against Tottenham tonight and Potter believes the players deserve a lot of credit.
“The Premier League is incredibly challenging. Liverpool had gone something like seven hours without scoring before the Tottenham game on Thursday so you can see how tough it is.
“So credit to the players, they've stuck together. You have to suffer in this league but it's how you deal with that and how you come through it.
The Brighton & Hove Albion boss speaks to the press ahead of the trip to Tottenham in the Emirates FA Cup.
“We know though that we've got to start again against another top team in Tottenham, but we'll do our best.”
Spurs look certain to be without their talisman Harry Kane after he came off at half-time during Thursday's 3-1 home defeat to Liverpool with injuries to both ankles.
“It would be unfair of me to say they have got another Harry Kane in their group, because he's a top player, the captain, the leader,” Potter added. “It's hard to replace him, but with the squad that Tottenham have and the skill that Tottenham have they will find that solution. But it won't be a Harry Kane mark 2, that's for sure.”
