Kaoru Mitoma has received his first call-up to the Japan senior squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Samurai Blue face Vietnam in Hanoi on Thursday, before heading to Oman next Tuesday. Mitomaâs call-up was on the back of a fine start to life in European football on loan at Union Saint Gilloise, following his move to Albion during the summer.
In South America, Albionâs Ecuadorian duo Jeremy Sarmiento and Moises Caicedo â the latter of whom is on loan to Belgium side Beerschot â face Venezuela on Thursday, before heading to Chile next Wednesday.
Closer to home, Jakub Moderâs Poland take on Andorra on Friday and then Hungary on Monday in Englandâs World Cup qualifying group, while Andi Zeqiri will be hoping to add to his three Swiss caps when they take on Italy on Friday before facing Bulgaria on Monday.
Zeqiri is spending the campaign on loan in the Bundesliga with Augsburg, and has scored twice against Borussia Dortmund and Mainz.Â
Leandro Trossard has continued to be one of Roberto Martinezâs top picks for Belgium, making ten appearances for his country this year. The Red Devils take on Estonia on Saturday before facing Wales on Tuesday.
Robert Sanchez made his international debut for Spain in September, and could add to his international appearances when Luis Enriqueâs team take on Greece and Sweden.
Finally, the Republic of Irelandâs Shane Duffy and Jayson Molumby (on loan with West Brom for the campaign) will be trying to overcome Portugal on Thursday, with a trip to Luxembourg on Sunday rounding off their fixtures this international break.
