Jan Paul van Hecke puts a great sliding challenge in on Alex Scott, winning the ball perfectly. The Bournemouth player rolls around a bit and Tierney books the Albion defender. Despair is probably the right word.

Carlos Baleba has put two Bournemouth players on the deck in as many minutes in two battles for possession. That's got the crowd riled up. Gross finds a yard of space on the edge of the box and sees a shot at goal deflect off Cook for an Albion corner.

Fabian Hurzeler makes a triple substitution. Diego Gomez, Jack Hinshelwood and Brajan Gruda are replaced by Carlos Baleba, Georginio and Yankuba Minteh.

Senesi goes into the referee's book for taking out Jan Paul van Hecke 35 yards from the Bournemouth box.

Danny Welbeck is booked for catching Marcos Senesi while pressing the defender. It genuinely on first viewing looks as if Welbeck brushes his arm. His reaction would suggest that is the truth too.

Gruda finds Mitoma on the edge of the box, he takes a touch and then curls it aiming from the top right corner, but it's just over. That would have been unbelievable.

Bournemouth get the second half started.

Half-time. The Albion supporters vent their frustration at the referee.

That looked as if it were in. Truffert gets down the left and crosses in, Evanilson meets it well in the middle and sends it marginally wide of the bottom right corner. So close to a second for the visitors.

Evanilson lifts the ball over the onrushing Verbruggen and it looks as if it's heading in, but it smacks the post and fortuitously flies back into Verbruggen who is lying on the ground. It looks as if the striker would have been ruled offside anyway.

Pascal Gross' corner is met by the head of Brajan Gruda at the back post and he sends it towards goal, but Petrovic keeps it out! Welbeck can't quite get to the follow up and the chance goes begging!

Tavernier slots the ball into the bottom left corner. The home crowd are livid.

The referee initially gives a yellow card to Adli for diving in the box over Bart Verbruggen which is the right decision. VAR intervene and after a long check, Paul Tierney overturns his original decision and gives a penalty to Bournemouth. The referee got it correct with his first decision. The crowd then see the replay on the screen and the boos ring out.

Verbruggen gathers from a Hill cross from the right that's flicked towards goal by Pascal Gross. It's never going to beat the Albion keeper, but it comes after a long spell of pressure from the visitors. Danny Welbeck has just escaped a yellow card after landing his boot straight on top of Kroupi's foot.

Evanilson brings the ball down in the box with aplomb before hitting the ball on the half volley. He gets good contact on the strike but it's at a perfect height for Bart Verbruggen to save and keep hold of. This game is fairly open now.

Tavernier lines a shot up from 25 yards and it's so high it nearly hits the backrow of the North Stand.

We have just witnessed Pascal Gross pulling off a Cruyff turn for the first time since he returned to Albion. Everyone saw it and a huge cheer went up. As part of the same move, Jack Hinshelwood has a shot from the edge of the box fly narrowly wide of the bottom right corner courtesy of a deflection. Brajan Gruda then has a pop from similar range, which Petrovic bats away from goal. Good start from Albion.

Ferdi Kadioglu has the first shot on target of this tussle as he cuts in from the left and lashes a shot at goal from 20 yards, but it's straight into the arms of the Bournemouth keeper.
