What a terrific free-kick from Maxim De Cuyper. The Belgium international is tripped 25 yards from goal, winning a free-kick. He takes it, getting it over the wall, but he can't beat the woodwork as it bounces back into play! Inches in that.

The North Stand have already sung that they'll enjoy a drink tonight if Pascal scores, and he nearly comes good as Gruda finds him on the edge of the box, but his thumped drive hits a Burnley defender!

A triple Albion change. Kaoru Mitoma, Babis Kostoulas and Georginio come off. On come Danny Welbeck, Maxim De Cuyper, and, to a huge standing ovation, Pascal Gross.

Lucas Pires's corner is headed from under the crossbar by Ferdi Kadioglu, before Babis Kostoulas manages to clear with a bicycle-kick!

Ayari crosses in a peach of a ball which Kostoulas stretches to get to, it brushes the top of his toe on the edge of the six-yard box and goes behind for a goal kick!

Babis Kostoulas wins the ball on the edge of the Burnley box and then looks to squeeze a strike into the bottom right corner from the edge of the area, but Dubravka reads it well and dives down to make a comfortable save.

That's it for the first half. Georginio's goal sees us go in at the break with a 1-0 lead.

Lucas Pires gets down the left of the box and looks to beat Bart Verbruggen with a drilled low effort, but the keeper gets down quickly to block it with his leg. That's his first save of the half and he was ready for it.

Another Burnley yellow card, this time for Humphreys as he drags Georginio down with the pair challenging for a header.

If that goes in, the roof comes off. Dunk flicks on Georginio's cross from the right and van Hecke meets it with a bicycle-kick - not quite as technically perfect as Wayne Rooney's against Manchester City, but still good - and it flies straight into Dubravka's hands.

Mitoma is tripped over by Walker on the far side for an Albion free-kick, in line with the edge of the box. Kadioglu takes and for a moment it looks as if it's curling into the top left corner, but it hits the side netting. Dubravka was scrambling.

Laurent goes into the book for diving in from behind on Kadioglu on the left flank. He takes out the Turkish defender before getting a touch on the ball.

Kadioglu's free-kick - after Gruda is fouled on the right - is met perfectly by Lewis in the middle, but he sends his header from ten yards just inches over the crossbar!

Diego Gomez gets on the end of Ferdi Kadioglu's pull back from the by-line, but his ferocious strike takes a touch off a Burnley defender and flies over the crossbar for a corner! That had some zip on it.

So close to an opener for Albion as Babis Kostoulas takes a terrific touch from a Diego Gomez pass, getting down the right of the box before rifling past Dubravka, but the celebrations are short lived as the offside flag goes up! It's fairly tight, but the right call.

Not far away from a second goal in as many games for the right back. Ferdi Kadioglu's corner finds the head of the defender who is a few yards out, but he guides it just over. A difficult chance.

We're underway at the Amex. A rapturous welcome for Pascal Gross when his name was read out ahead of kick-off. Let's hope to see him on the pitch this afternoon.

Fabian Hurzeler has named Pascal Gross on the bench after the German returned to Albion yesterday. "We know that Pascal was a big player in the past and we all hope that he can be a big player in the present and today, in the next weeks he will be an important player in our squad, he knows how to win Premier League games," the head coach said. "We’re happy that he’s back and hopefully the fans will be happy, and feel a good energy today. "We haven’t brought him in to live on the bench, I have always had a good exchange with him and now we’re all happy that he’s back, he’s a big part of my thoughts."
