Accessibility
Is there a radio-based assistive hearing system?
The seating area within the stadium is fully covered by a radio-based assistive hearing system. The system is designed for supporters who have Telecoil hearing aids, with the ‘T’ setting. The system allows supporters of varying hearing impairments to listen to both safety and matchday entertainment announcements. Supporters wishing to use this service must visit ticket office window 1 on a matchday to sign out the neck loop and receiver.
Is there audio descriptive commentary available?
Yes, and it is available to supporters via the use of a receiver and headset. Equipment can be signed out from ticket office window 1. Equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was when signed out.
“Steve Baker [audio description commentator] provided an excellent commentary, taking on the whole of the game, without any assistance or support, and doing so in a clear, comprehensive and unbroken fashion.”
Lord David Blunkett 16th June 2016, Albion v Sheffield Wednesday
Audio description commentary receivers and assistive hearing receivers available from the ticket office, window one. Please return the equipment in the same condition it is when you picked it up.
There are regular disabled refuge points across the stadium. Assistance dogs are welcome, but please let us know in advance by contacting Supporter Services. There’s a designated grass area for your dog outside the East stand.
Please contact Supporter Services if you require a hidden disability wristband.

The wristband is to help catering, stewarding, and ticketing staff to better assist supporters and avoid otherwise awkward situations for supporters and our staff.
If needed, the information collected on the application forms may be used to assist staff with how situations are managed and what support is needed and reasonable.
This information will only be accessible to stand managers, control room staff and the ticket office.
The wristband will not entitle any supporter to queue jump or gain preferential treatment over any other supporter - however this is at steward discretion, so please seek their help if needed!
Please complete this form if you wish to request a hidden disability wristband.
The inclusion room is a safe and reassuring space where supporters who may struggle to sit within the main stands can enjoy football.
The room itself is made up of three areas. The back is a quiet safe space for people to use with coloured LED lighting, a weighted blanket, and bean bags. The middle section has a TV screen showing the match, bean bags, sensory toys, a disabled toilet with a hoist and a view of the pitch. Then for anyone feeling super confident, they can sit on the seating deck outside or go between all three areas if needed. The sensory room is also in close proximity to the club’s changing places facility.
You can register your interest in using the inclusion room for upcoming matches by filling in this form.
The Superstore has level access in addition to the following:
Free personal assistant tickets can be purchased for anyone who requires additional assistance in order to attend a match. Disabled supporters must provide supporting documents to Supporter Service in advance of a matchday, including Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Severe Disablement Allowance, War Disabled Pension, Certificate of Visual Impairment or Disability Living Allowance Middle to High Rate. For anyone who cannot provide one of the above can be supplied with a form for your doctor to complete.
Disabled supporters will be charged the ticket price equivalent to the pricing structure for the area of the ground they wish to purchase a ticket within.
In March 2017 we launched our online ticketing system for disabled supporters, which provides by far the easiest method of booking a ticket. View our guide here on how disabled supporters can create an account and subsequently book their ticket and personal assistant ticket to both home and away matches.
The ticket office, twinned with the club shop, is located in the North Stand at the Amex stadium and has level access. Doors to the club shop are large and accessible and staff are always on hand to assist visitors.
Buses are wheelchair accessible and have suspension capable of lowers to kerbstone. Every bus has screens showing the name of the next stop.
Train Travel
Falmer station has step-free access through the side gate to each platform, with step-free routes between platforms. Every train has ramp access capability and staff are available for assistance.
If you need to request assistance when travelling by train, please follow this link.
Park & Ride
Our park & ride sites have at least one wheelchair-accessible bus. Supporters with specific mobility needs should tell the stewards on arrival so they can be directed to appropriate parking areas. Fans using park & ride will be dropped off and collected in the coach park at the stadium, where a lift can take you to concourse level.
Car
Accessible parking is available at a discounted rate of 50% when pre-booked on a match-by-match basis. We must already have received your blue badge and amended your fan account for you to purchase online or over the phone. For further information, please email Supporter Services. Blue badges must be displayed on matchdays.
Cycling & safe walking
A wide, flat, step-free, and smoothed tarmac path runs from opposite the Falmer Farm Shop to the car park at the end of Bexhill Road in Woodingdean for walkers, cyclists, and mobility vehicles to share. Find out more about our matchday travel here.
